PLENARY CONFERENCES (alphabetical order):

Isabelle KRIMM, CNRS researcher, team leader in the “Small molecules for biological targets” department, CRCL - Lyon Cancer Research Center, UMR INSERM 1052 CNRS 5286 - Center Léon Bérard, University Claude Bernard of Lyon 1.

After scientific projects focused on NMR methods for screening fragments in drug discovery, Isabelle Krimm joined the Lyon Cancer Research Center in 2021 (University of Lyon 1 - UMR INSERM 1052 - CNRS 5286 - Center Léon Bérard) to undertake projects for the development of bioactive molecules. She is responsible at the CRCL for a multidisciplinary team in silico in vivo "Small molecules for biological targets". The team designs, synthesizes, develops and evaluates (1) new chemical tools for oncology research, in particular for the study of the role of VDAC and (2) new therapeutic molecules, with the development of CK2 inhibitors.

Philippe ROCHE, CRHC, CNRS, “Structural biology and integrated chemistry-biology” team and, "HiTS/IPCdd – High Throughput Screening facility" platform, UMR 7258, CRCM - Cancer Research Center of Marseille, INSERM U1068, Paoli-Calmettes Institute, Aix-Marseille University.

After a Ph.D on Rhizobium-Leguminous symbiosis (University of Toulouse) which led to the first characterization of nodulation factors, he made several postdoctoral stays with Professors Peter Albersheim (Athens, GA, USA), David Stuart (Oxford, UK) and David Perahia (Orsay, France). In 2012, he participated with Xavier Morelli and Yves Collette in the creation of the "integrated Structural and Chemical Biology" (iSCB) team within the CRCM. His main interest is the modulation of protein-protein interactions by integrative approaches involving modellers, chemists and structural biologists. Since 2010, he has been leading the modelling and drug design platform INT3D which was recently integrated into the HiTS / IPCdd platform within the CRCM. He has been secretary of the French society of Cheminformatics since 2016.

Fanny ROUSSI, CNRS Research Senior, Department of Chemistry of Natural Substances and Medicinal Chemistry, Head of the “Plant Metabolites: Isolation, Synthesis and Bioactivity” team, ICSN - Institute of Natural Substance Chemistry - CNRS UPR 2301, Paris-Saclay University.

She is a pharmacist and completed a PhD in Organic Synthesis in Henri-Philippe Husson’s group (Paris Descartes University). Later on, she worked as a post-doctoral fellow in Jack Baldwin’s group at Oxford University, on the biomimetic synthesis of a family of natural compounds. In 2001, she joined the CNRS as a researcher. In 2003, she joined Thierry Sévenet, Françoise Guéritte and Daniel Guénard’s group to work on the synthesis of bioactive natural compounds before becoming a senior researcher and team leader since September 2013.

Jana SOPKOVA-DE OLIVEIRA SANTOSProfessor of biophysics and general chemistry, Chemoinformatics platform, CERMN - Center for Studies and Research on Medicines of Normandy, EA 4258 - FR CNRS 3038 INC3M - SF 4206 ICORE, University of Caen Normandy.

She obtained a Ph.D Life Science in co-supervision between the University of Paris XI and the Charles University of Prague in 1994. After having carried out postdoctoral internships between the Institute of organic chemistry and biochemistry of Prague, LBPM of the CEA of Saclay and LURE of Orsay, she was appointed Lecturer of biophysics at the University of Caen Normandy (1999). Since September 2011, she is Professor of biophysics and general chemistry. His research interests include crystallography and molecular modeling in the area of the design of disruptors of protein-protein interactions with applications in oncology and neurodegenerative diseases.
